IDEAL PRODUCT FOR

Help doctors and podiatrists keep moisture levels in shoes low throughout the day (compliance), in order to:

  • improve drug absorption
  • treat or prevent bacterial and/or fungal infections of the skin and nails, etc.
  • treat plantar hyperhidrosis
  • etc.

Those who love trekking or long walks (e.g., the pilgrimage route to Santiago) and wear waterproof shoes for many hours a day. ARIA DHRY:

  • keeps shoes dry at all times, preventing blisters
  • massages the sole of the foot with every step, relieving fatigue
  • absorbs impact with the ground, reducing microtrauma and pain at the end of the day

Teenagers, who sweat more intensely and tend to wear the same shoes all the time, which are often not very breathable.
Reducing moisture is essential to prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria that cause unpleasant odors, and reduce the risk of ingrown toenails.

Athletes who want to have optimal grip of the foot in the shoe at all times, to improve control and performance, prevent blisters, and reduce microtrauma from the impact of the foot on the ground.

Those who wear protective shoes, which by their nature are not very breathable, for many hours a day, and who need comfort and continuous foot massage to relieve fatigue and prevent the growth of fungi, bacteria, and unpleasant odors.

Military personnel, who need to prevent blisters during their grueling exercises and require maximum grip and control during operations.

Those who are forced to stand for many hours a day, who need the comfort provided by a cool, low-humidity microclimate, as well as continuous foot massage to relieve fatigue at the end of the day.

Thanks to our patented technology, we are able to achieve performance that no other shoe or insole can match.

There are no other breathable insoles on the market. Therefore, proving our superiority over regular insoles in all conditions of use was a no-brainer.

But to demonstrate the value of our solution, we also compared our patented dual action mechanism (static and dynamic) with shoes that claim to be "breathable".

The results?

Unlike these "competitors" that have a low and constant moisture permeability, our technology offers a much higher permeability when standing or sitting (static use) and much, much higher when walking or running (dynamic use).

Clarifications and disclaimers

The graphs above show in more detail the experimental results obtained with the current version of the ARIA insole when used in non-breathable footwear of the boot type, with the collar of the upper close to the malleolus (up to the ankle). It should be noted, however, that the level of reduction of humidity and temperature in a shoe is influenced by multiple parameters such as: the materials of the shoe, any breathable inserts incorporated into the sole and/or upper, the physical activity of the user and their level of plantar sweating, the temperature and humidity of the environment outside the shoe, etc. Therefore, while we are certain of the benefits you will gain from using the ARIA insoles, we cannot guarantee that the performance obtained in experimental conditions will be the same as that you will obtain by using the ARIA insole in your shoes.

How does an ARIA insole works

DYNAMIC OPERATION (during walking and running)

As physical activity increases, plantar sweating increases dramatically. Each ARIA footbed incorporates 9 soft, high-efficiency micro-pumps which, through the ergonomic side fin, capture fresh, dry AIR from outside the shoe with every step and push it under the sole of the foot, where most of the sweat is created. Here, the cool, dry air mixes with the warm, moist air in the shoe, continuously lowering the humidity and temperature and keeping the skin dry and cool.

Vent channels facilitate this process of continuous air exchange inside the shoe.

STATIC OPERATION (when sitting or standing still)

Even when you are not walking, in a similar way to hot, humid air escaping from a hot, humid room with an open fireplace, hot, humid air under the sole of the foot escapes from the shoe through the micro-pump channels and the ergonomic lateral flap.

KNOW THE PROBLEM

Not all areas of the body sweat in the same way. In general, we sweat more where we have more sweat glands per square centimetre of skin. This also applies to the feet: under the sole of the foot we have 5 times (+500%) more sweat glands per cm^2 than on the back. This is why about 80-85% of sweat is generated UNDER the sole of the foot.

With increased physical activity, foot perspiration increases enormously and, even in the best shoes on the market, in less than an hour the air becomes saturated (100%) with water vapour. This decreases comfort and encourages the foot to slip in the shoe, decreasing athletic performance and increasing the risk of sprains.

Humid skin is softer than dry skin. It has a reduced capacity to resist tangential stress and is more prone to blistering.

Finally, in extremely cold conditions (e.g. winter sports), keeping humidity low helps reduce the risk of hypothermia.

The high humidity and temperature close to body temperature create the ideal microclimate for skin maceration, the growth of fungi (athlete's foot), bacteria, yeasts and moulds, which metabolise skin lipids, keratin and sweat, giving rise to amines and fatty acids responsible for the typical foot odour (bromhidrosis). 15% of the world's population suffers from athlete's foot and 5% from hyperhidrosis.

avoid false solutions

Making the upper of the shoe breathable HELPS VERY LITTLE (less than 10%). Eighty per cent of sweat is formed under the sole of the foot, which is continuously pressed by our weight against the footbed of the shoe.

Insoles with cavities ARE NOT BREATHABLE because they do not allow any exchange of moisture with the outside of the shoe, they only slightly (10-20%) increase the empty space in the shoe, delaying saturation (100% relative humidity) by 10-20 minutes.

Shoes with holes in the sole are of little use (less than 5%) because, as in a hot air balloon, the warm, moist air moves upwards and not downwards

Moreover, being in contact with road dirt, they plug up in a few months and often give problems with water infiltration.

how the ARIA technology can help you

ARIA insoles are sophisticated devices engineered to continuously control the microclimate inside any closed shoe

ISPO Outdoor

Thank you to all customers for dropping by to greet us at our stand in the Start-up area at ISPO Outdoor in Munich.

It was a pleasure to meet you and discuss with you how our unique technology can make your customers happier and your business more prosperous.

Did you know that ...?

 >20%

More than 20% of the world's population suffers from athlete's foot and/or has excessive sweating of the feet.

5x

In each square centimetre of the bottom of the foot there are five times as many sweat glands as in each square centimetre of the back of the foot. Moreover, as the surface area of the bottom of the foot is about 30 per cent larger than that of the back of the foot, almost 80 per cent of sweat is produced under the sole of the foot. This is why shoes with breathable uppers are no solution at all.

 â†‘↑↑

Perforating the soles of shoes and incorporating semi-permeable membranes or valves are not meaningful solutions because warm, moist air naturally tends to rise upwards and get trapped under the soles of the feet.

Although we are a start-up, we have already attracted the genuine interest of large international companies.

ARIA insoles are sophisticated devices engineered to continuously control the microclimate inside any closed shoe.

Top performers need an optimal microclimate in their footwear.

There are no breathable insoles on the market.

The patented ARIA insoles are the only ones in the world capable of continuously changing the warm, moist air inside the shoe with fresh, dry air from outside the shoe.

The main advantages of ARIA insoles

greater COMFORT IN EVERY CONDITION OF USE

Whether you are sitting in the office or running in the park, with an ARIA insole your feet will always be dry and fresh.

healthy feet "in a healthy body"

By constantly lowering the temperature and humidity inside your shoes, your ARIA insoles will keep your feet cool and dry, preventing the onset of fungal infections and bad odors.

the same insole can be used in multiple shoes

Your ARIA insole can be easily moved from shoe to shoe, making all your shoes highly breathable.
